Introduction
Treetops
Guesthouse is around 100 years old and has retained many of its original
features. The house is in an elevated
position with good views of Banbury and the countryside beyond. There are 15
stone steps leading to the front door with a sturdy metal handrail to the left,
for the entire flight. This property is
not suitable for wheelchair access.
Pre-Arrival
We are located
in a quiet street just off the main
Oxford Road. We are on a one way system
from the Oxford Road. Arrival is via St Johns Road, at the end of this road
turn left into Newlands Road. Turn first left into Dashwood Road from Newlands Road.
Treetops Guesthouse is on your left, situated immediately on the corner.

bus station and train station are 10-15 minutes walk away, or a short taxi
ride.

The
town centre and many restaurants is only a short walk away.

We
have parking for 2 cars and there is free parking in Dashwood Road and the
surrounding area.
Arrival
·
Arrival
between 5.30pm and 8.00pm is preferred, but other times can be arranged with
prior notice.

Public
Areas – Internal
The front
door opens into a small porchway which has original quarry tiles. The next door is a part glazed security door
which requires a key code. This will be
given to you on arrival. The front entrance door is 100cm wide and the security
door is 90cm wide. There are high
ceilings throughout the property. The
security door opens into a generous hallway with the guest dining room door
opposite the front door. This doorway is
80cm wide. There are no steps to the
dining room, once you enter the front door.
The dining room has a wood floor.
There are 15 stairs leading to the first floor bedrooms with sturdy
handrails on both sides. We do not have
any guest bedrooms on the entrance level.
There is a
bathroom with 900cm corner shower unit, toilet & sink and also a public
toilet with sink, at the top of the first flight of stairs.

comfortable chair is provided in all double/twin rooms

Shower
gel, shampoo, soap and small grooming kit are also provided

The
décor is neutral throughout with satin and velvet curtains matching cushions
and throws.

double rooms can be either a double (6ft) or twin

bed access for one bed, is from one side only

Double
bed provides comfortable access from both sides
First floor landing with 2 further stairs of regular
height and a handrail on the left.
Bedroom 2
There is a side table, with lamp, next to the
chair and a small bedside table and lamp at the side of the bed. There is a cupboard with glass mirror doors
containing hanging space and shelving. This room has a lovely original cast
iron fireplace.
Bedroom 3
There is a
good quality free standing wardrobe in this room with a large mirror over a
dresser with lamp. There is also a small bedside table with lamp.
Bedroom 4
This room
is a small single. Access to the bed is
from one side only. There is a small
table with lamp. A recess provides
hanging and shelving space. This room
has a sink and the use of the bathroom along the landing. Access to this bathroom is down the 2
stairs.
Second floor landing – 15 stairs with handrail on the
left.
Bedroom 5
There is a
side table with lamp, next to the chair, and a small bedside table and lamp at
the side of the bed. There is an open
cupboard with hanging and shelving space. This room has a lovely cast iron
fireplace. The room is at the top of the
house with good views of Banbury and the surrounding area. One corner of the room has a diagonal beam
rising from 1.6m to the full ceiling height.
Bedroom 6
There is a
dresser with lamp, next to the chair, and a small bedside table and lamp at the
side of the bed. There is an open
cupboard with hanging and shelving space.
This room has a lovely cast iron fireplace. The room is at the top of the house with good
views of Banbury and the surrounding area.
There is a diagonal beam rising to the left of the doorway, inside the
room, with an average entrance height of just over 2m.

There
are fire extinguishers on all landings and fire procedures are on the inside of
each bedroom door.

We
do not permit smoking in any of the property.
·
There
is a smoking box available at the right hand side of the drive (looking from
the house)

are per room inclusive of Full English Breakfast

rooms are priced for 1 person

Double/twin
rooms are priced for between 1 or 2 persons as agreed
